This policy explains how ShipMVP (“we”, “us”), operating at shipmvp.in, handles personal data when you use our website and MVP planner. We aim to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where it applies to you, the GDPR.
1. What we collect
- Planner input: the idea, audience, skill level and budget you submit to generate a plan.
- Contact messages: your name, email and message if you use our contact form.
- Technical data: IP address and basic request logs created by our hosting provider, used for security and rate limiting.
We don't ask for an account, phone number or payment details. Please don't include passwords, health data or other sensitive personal data in your idea.
2. How we use it
- To generate your MVP plan and show it to you.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and enforce fair-use limits.
We don't sell personal data, use it for advertising or build profiles about you.
3. Who processes it
- Anthropic, PBC — your planner input is sent to the Claude API to generate the plan. Anthropic processes it under its Commercial Terms and Privacy Policy. By default, Anthropic doesn't use API inputs or outputs to train its models, and retains them only for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring.
- Vercel Inc. — hosts the website and processes request logs.
- Email provider — if configured, delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
These providers may process data outside India, including in the United States.
4. Storage & retention
- Ideas and plans: we don't store them in a database. Your latest plan is saved in your own browser's local storage so it survives a refresh; you can clear it any time with “New idea” or by clearing site data.
- Contact messages: kept as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted within 12 months.
- Logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period under its own retention policy.
5. Cookies
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage only to remember your latest plan.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@shipmvp.in. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.
7. Children
ShipMVP is intended for users aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
